U - Christian Hymns

Though ‘U’ is not thought to start off the first line of many hymns, we have been able to compile a lovely section of hymns in this category. One of them is ‘Unanswered Yet’ by Charles David Tillman urging the soul to persevere and not give up. ‘Under His Wings’ by William Orcutt Crushing speaks of the symbol of the wings as those of an eagle depicting God’s protection and care. ‘Unto My Lord, Jehovah Said’ is derived from the Irish Psalter. ‘Unto Thy Temple Lord We Come’ by Robert Collyer reminds us of the joy of coming into God’s presence and ‘Upon The Gospel’s Sacred Page’ by John Bowring is a wonderful tribute to the Word of God and the Gospel contained within it! The ‘U’ section is therefore a worthy section to look into.
