Can You Be Sinking?

Can you be sinking and drowning,
When there is work to be done?

Can you be sinking and drowning,
When there is work to be done?
Have you turned back from the plough share,
Shirking the call of God's son?

Think of the men in the Bible,
Think of the stand they  made,
How can you shrink from the challenge,
While with their life they paid?

Every day God is demanding,
You to endure and obey,
Only the vigilant soldier's
Ready to fight in the fray.

You may be battling in earnest,
With things that fill up your day,
And you are weary despondent,
Wishing to run, far away.

Your day is part of God's challange,
Your day is part of God's plan,
Come, let's endure and go forward,
Saying, by God's grace, I can.
